Patrick Jacob

Managing Director, Anthem Corporate Finance

Patrick has worked in the Merchant and Investment Banking markets since 1984; prior to co-founding Anthem in 2002, Patrick spent many years at Kleinwort Benson (KB) where he was involved in Principal Finance, MBOs, acquisitions, debt financings and Advice; latterly at KB he was Co-head and then Chairman of the Global Debt Origination Group responsible for worldwide Debt Capital markets and Bank Debt origination.
Patrick has led in excess of £28bn of advisory and financing assignments in the international markets. These include landmark transactions for companies such as Cadbury Schweppes, Aviva, BAE Systems, EADS, Atlas Elektronik, MessageLabs, Star Technology Services, Orange, Wind, Equant, Bulldog Communications, COLT and Energis; has acted for financial sponsors including Carlyle, APAX, Prospect Investment Management, Cinven, Candover and GI Partners.
Patrick has advised on the financial restructurings of companies including SICPA, Alan Dick, ICO Global, Isosceles/Somerfield, British Fuels and GTS.
A graduate of Bristol University in 1979; also awarded an MBA in 1984 from London Business School, where he received a distinction for his second year project on Telecommunications deregulation.
